In the "Meatrix", the maker shows us that how factory farming affect our life today.  The family farms are less and less now.  Most of them are detroyed and created to factory farming, because the company want to make more profit.
The maker use this idea from the movie "The Matrix", because they spread similar imformation to viewers.  Both of them are the message movie.  They want to show us how the world becomes today when people begin to rely on technology too much.  Both of their changes are negative.  In the "Matrix", people are controller by "The Matrix" and live in a unreal world.  The director of the movie show us that how Neo and Mophuis save the world, and how do they help people escape the unreal world.  In the "Meatrix", the maker use similar sinces
